Hi, I'm just an old geezer who likes to have things look different. Would it be worth my while to download litestep and just use the different themes. This does look interesting, but I don't want to get in too deep. Is this possible to uninstall if you don;t care for it?
Thank you all in advance,
phil

As a LiteStep user it is possible to just use a theme if it is written correctly. However, 99% of all themes you will find some issue with and have to crawl under the hood and play with a text file or two. All I can say to you on your situation is try it out and if you don't like it go back to exploder. :)

The first thing you should do is download litestep and check out the default theme. Its pretty nice and might be what your looking for. It has very few if any instances where you might have to edit some text files but when you start downloading things not all of them will work perfectly the first time.

well, i've never pried open austerity's .rc files except to find out how the suthor scripted a certain section. I find that it's THE most stable theme i've EVER used. even more than simplicity.
