Are there any known issues that Litestep has with Windows XP? Because the last time I tried it my system became unstable. Bu thtat may have been from the already unstable system. Any feedback would be helpful.

AFAIK there I no known problems with running LS on WinXP. I use it on 2 XP PC's and haven't experianced a problem with either.

I've been running LiteStep myself on winXP since omars 2.9.5 installer (which though it required doing some manual registry work worked flawlessly) and I'm currently using 3.0.2 which is working just as well. The only complaint that I have about 3.0.2 (which uses .24.7 RC1) is that it takes it a bit longer to shut down than it ever did before.....but it _is_ an RC and everything else works just peachy so I'm content to wait and see what comes next. :-)

Been using .24.7 RC1 on my XP machine for about a month or so now. No problems at all, it installed flawlessly, no crazy crashes or anything.

I used Litestep for a long time before everything went away, and was prompt to get back onto it when the 'scene' seemed to return. Playing with all the themes and stuff never causes any problems.

The best part is of course the ability to always recover from a bad theme.

running Litestep on xp for very long... initially had some annoying problems but now most of them are fixed... so no problems with XP!

the only XP problems I know of (which are easy to get around) are with the default XP logon screen, and using any Windows theme except Classic. but like I said, you can get around both of those real easy like.

The XP Themes/VWM problem is fixed in ckVWM 1.41.

I have a problem with running it on XP. It won't run instead of explorer, lol.

I just recently ran litestep on my XP and had some crazy issues with it. For some reason it seems to want to open the explorer numerous times and I can't get them stop popping up. The only way to stop this issue was to cliking back on running the explorer shell. Can anyone help me out? I'm new to the litestep scene.

I've also noticed the takes-more-time-to-shut-down -bug, and as I see, it's been around even before .24.6 and shows up irregularily, sometimes disappearing when switching shells to explorer, then back to LS.

Haven't experienced it on LS RC2 though. A very small nuisance anyway.
