Dual Monitor Woes.... Thread last updated on 2004-02-04 12:56:34

I just switched to litestep for basically two reasons, 1. it looks rad 2. Its explorer is smaller. BUT I am having some diffuculties when it comes to making it work with my dual monitor... Sometimes it will just black out both screens at seemingly random times and then come back on. Not huge, be REALLY annoying when I am trying to work. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

It will depend on the theme you are using. Not all themes are written for dual monitors. It will also depend on the vwm module the theme uses. I think rabidvwm is the only one that supports dual monitors, or supports it well at least.

Try some different themes that say they support dual monitors, the theme i'm using glaze1.3 supports my dual monitors no sweat.

Screens randomly blacking out is not a symptom I have heard of or would expect... I would suspect drivers/other software, or hardware problems for something like that. I mean I can't rule out LiteStep, but I don't know of anything there that might be remotely responsible. :/

There are problems with multimonitor systems, of course, but it's almost exclusively limited to getting modules placed in the correct position. (and the VWM)
