i just wanted to ask you experienced lot what you think is the best theme at the moment? (not just looks)

ok, we get questions like this every so often. and EVERY TIME, you get 20 different themes. the short answer is, there is no "best theme". it's all about personal preference. Just download a bunch of themes, and try them out. you'll either find a theme you love, or decide to create your own.

It's difficult to wade through, what, hundreds of themes to find real gems. I think a better way to word the original question would be, Which themes are generally considered to be among the very best ones? (Or put another way, Which themes are the most popular?) I don't know if that's any more answerable, but I'm a theme aficionado that's new to Litestep and I know I'd like to start with a small collection of the best and explore from there. ^_^ But a good place to start is DeviantArt, since they can group by favorites and total downloads. Thanks.
It would be nice if the themes could be sorted based on the numbers of downloads...
That wouldn't really be a true gauge, since you have to download it to try it. 700 people can download a bad theme then delete it. It's probally best to go with a rating system or view the comments.

I second what sryo said. and tech, dev has already said there won't be a rating system, so we'll have to stick with the comments. :P
