Hi.

Getting used to litestep and have set upp what is for me a nice layout of litestep/samurize/and using FVM theme (modified some).

Only thing thats missing is that I would like the background to change at specified time. I have set up lswchanger.dll (version 1.2 i think) and can manualy change the background.

So basicly whats wrong shouldnt it change?

Settings in step.rc

LoadModule c:\LiteStep\lswchanger.dll

WallpaperEnabled true
WallpaperTimeOut 1
WallpaperDisplayMethod stretch
WallpaperSelectMethod normal
*wallpaper .stretch c:\windows\web\wallpaper
LoadModule c:\LiteStep\modules\jdesk-0.711.dll

Curently running windows 2003
Have tried it on windows 2000 and xp same thing.
Also I would like to know what the 1 stands for. Minutes? hours? seconds?

As I have read the readme over and over Im asking for help from you. I also tried to use another wallpaper changer called something like wchanger but when I tried to use the regsvr to register the dll I always got an error (also tried it on 2000/2003/xp).

Hopeing for help so I cna focus on tunning samurize and doing the final icons instead of trying to fix this.

Windows 2003
DirectX 9
Internet Explorer 6
LiteStep 0.24.7 Release Candidate 1
lswchanger.dll version 1.2 not 100% sure.
All MS patches.

I dont really have any experience with lswchanger but would loading jdesk before lswchanger make a difference?

well actually had this problem even when jdesk wasnt used. but as I use it now Ill check and get back with the results.

Nothing happend yet. But as stated above I dont know what the 1 in TimeOut is. Maybe its day and thats why I doesnt se the change :). I know I easily could use a bang command and sheduler service but as the module suport changing Id love to use it.

if that doesn't work, you may want to try putting the path to the wallpapers in quotes.

Now Im a bit confused as i curently only point to a directory. And as said earlier I can change using !wallpaper .change . Should I ad like a wallpaper list file or?

Actually i think you just have to point to a specific file.

Why? its working if I use the bang !wallpaper .change. SO how do I point to files to get the auto changing working? The readme files doesnt explain that. It only shows that you should point to a directroy as I did. Then you set the commands in step.rc. I did at the bottom of it. Now it doesnt auto change and I have to use a bang command and then it changes.

PLZ explain how to point to several wallpapers (as I have about 100 in that directory and this seemed to be a nice module.)

I've never been able to make the autochange to work !
I guess it's broken...
...but a little timer can fix it :)

Yeah gave up trying to fix the module using sheduler now. But god I hate these small things..they just bug me out. Like jdesk not aplying the settings so I had to add a bang in the autostart for it to work.

Also the sheduler does seem a little weird set it to run every 15min but it runs more like every 12 min.

But atleast litestep is working great and almost everything in my samurize config is working as I whont them to and the wallpaper gets changed at a resonable timeperiod and not boring me out.

Now if all I could do is to get the theme author to convert it to ots2 so it will work in all upcoming releases :) (or is there any util that can do the same thing?)
