I can't seem to get the commodore 64 theme to work. Every time I try to run it it displays the there is a problem with $ThemeDir$config\_compatibility-patch.rc. Can anybody help????

what version of LS are you running?

In case you extracted the theme manually, don't do that. Use the Theme Installer.

it is the newest version of litestep, and the theme installer won't work

is it even OTS or OTS2?

howdy - I can't find the Commodore 64 theme anywhere - well not on this site anyways. I had a plan to create such a theme (just for fun)

I actually remember one and may have it around somewhere.

Now that I have got it to work, it really doesn't look all that good

Maybe I'll go down my original path and make a c64 theme myself....ofcourse after my All_Mine and All_Yours themes are completed (in between work, playing UT and watching the kidz - not much time in the day!)

wow - found the c64 theme - ew!
I got the $ThemeDir$config\_compatibility-patch.rc error too!
It's not exactly a straight forward theme - to start it comes pasked with LiteStep and must be intsalled to c:\Commodore64 - I gave up on it :)

Just curious... how did you get it to work?

What I did was I went to where I unpacked the file (in litestep themes). I then exited the litestep theme I had running, and then I double-clicked the step file, and the theme came up but, it only shows the wallpaper with the newer versions of litestep.

How do you "exit the litestep theme"

It depends on the theme you have running, but a simple way I use sometimes is to hit ctrl+alt+delete and then select the litestep.exe, then you click end process, and that should do it.

um... ctrl-alt-f1, q would quit litestep. Using task manager to close stuff should generally be avoided unless nothing else works.
