when enabling the following in step.rc it consumes all my (gdi)memory and crashes me

And this happens with both vtray and systray2? And you're sure you don't have both loaded at the same time?

yeah ... absolutely sure ... with both dll´s
not loaded at the same time !

grdmagick offers the same functionality so i use this as long as vtray gets fixed .....
how can i make my popup2 menu transparent ( winME?) ?
lsTransparent doesn´t work either .. just worx with systray2/vtray ..
crashes when trying to bind to wharfx or popup2

uh... lstransparent has worked for ages on 9x/ME afaik. Sounds like something on your setup is a little screwed up. :\ About vtray, try sending an email to Vendicator, he wrote it.
