middle click on titlebar to close window? Thread last updated on 2004-01-20 01:54:55

I like using the hotspots in the upper right and left corners to switch desktops, but it means hitting that 'X' to close the window is more difficult than it used to be. Is there a way to set up the a middle-mouse button click on the title bar of a window to close it?

Or, failing that, to change what the right-click on the taskbar does?

Or maybe there's some other solution that I haven't thought of?

Thanks.

TaskBarTButtonM .close

should make it so that middle clicking on a task tile closes the window... put that line in your theme.rc or something.

Hey, that's neat! Thanks.

Is the double-left and right clicking on a window's titlebar coded into the Litestep shell itself? I couldn't find a durn thing on any commands or modules that dealt with it.

yup...you could alter it with a window skinning app though.

Thanks, I'll keep looking around for those. I've used Windowblinds some, and am now using ShellWM, which I prefer, but which currently only has an option to change the double-click.
