'Error: Exception during module initialization. Please contact the module author.'

I'm wondering if anyone has seen this error come up before while building a theme, and what it might be caused by.

I only ever see it when I tray to load lsbox - but the error isn't always generated from lsbox.dll, it seems to randomly happen with other modules as well - but only when lsbox is loaded. Strangely enough, it seems to happen to modules then that aren't even tied in anyway to a box...

Generally, I've also noticed a real loss in stability when using lsbox while building a theme as well.

So i'm wondering is anyone has any ideas or tips on this they might share??

it happens to me a lot too... don't know why, sorry. i agree with you that it is tied to lsbox though.

I agree. I ran error-free for like 4 months, then loaded everything into a box, and now I get errors from dynamp (sometimes) when i recycle. even though dynamp itself isn't actually loaded into the box, only labels which use dynamp bangs...

thanks - nice to know that i'm not going crazy or theming something wrong. i'm also wondering if it's something to do with running lsbox on win9x...

The 2.x version had problems when you tried to destroy boxes iirc... if you do that currently try to just hide them instead.
