Posted by member 1 on 2003-06-13 15:04:02 link

Only one broken link on the entire page.

Posted by member 44009 on 2003-06-21 03:27:03 link

Mmm, I can't even see the page. Any other posts of the tutorial anywhere? Thanks.

Posted by member 44212 on 2003-06-22 04:58:58 link

All the links on this page fail to work, i think there bandwidth is too low. the Joe Blade site is down now.

Posted by member 1 on 2003-06-22 16:24:48 link

I know the docs page at SFO is not down...SFO is never down.

JoeBlade was closed.

Pika's page works...just checked it again.

mojomonkee hasn't sent me an update so I don't know whats up with his site. However, the link in the Links section does work and you can find it HERE

Posted by member 51617 on 2003-07-24 14:20:18 link

That tutorial is SO incredibly useful...I'm one of those n00bs who would probably piss you off, but I took the semi-intelligent route, learned from the mistakes of others ("I'm new how do i use litestep?" "You idiot read the tutorials") and found the tutorial. Yay. THX mojomonkee

Posted by member 52945 on 2003-07-30 15:57:21 link

great
thanx from a newbie ;-)

Posted by member 77005 on 2003-10-30 14:15:23 link

ok, I posted a topic abnout looking for a tutorial, my post got locked, and sent to that website.... which is not a tutorial, but a dedication to elliot smith? Am I missing smoething here?

Posted by member 1316 on 2003-10-30 16:17:15 link

uh, apparently so. because that link doesn't go to some elliot smith site, it actually goes to this thread.

If someone is interested about french to english translation, http://www.litestep-france.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=17
are some good tutorials talking about mzscript (and extras)

Posted by member 81301 on 2003-11-11 06:33:29 link

Coppatop85, there is a link on the menu at the left edge of the page :P

Posted by member 81301 on 2003-11-13 07:29:39 link

Mojomonkee, your Tutorial n00b-theme isn't OTS2 compliant.
ilmcuts, Joeblade is gone.
TucknDar, The basics tutorial you link to isn't OTS2 complaint.
Maybe Smurth's french link is okay, but that's about scripting, not the basics of starting out in making themes.

I think the posts to obsolete or broken tutorials should be edited or deleted, or maybe this whole thread un-stuck if there's nothing useful left in it.
How are newbies expected to start out on the right track (OTS2) if there aren't any tutorials to help them?

Posted by member 182 on 2003-11-13 09:09:55 link

It's not that different to OTS1 really ..

Posted by member 7223 on 2003-11-13 16:30:33 link

@spiritofcat: here is a sample OTS2 theme (only popup2 and a self-made moveable, resizable taskbar3):
http://www.litestep.net/index.php?section=2&action=details&id=343

...and ... I guess the tuorials I've made (in french) are supposed to put newbies on the right track. I said it's talking about mzscript AND extras...
But, of course, it won't tell you how to make an OTS2 theme. There's already a site dedicated to this.

Litestep is LiteStep and therefore none of these tutorials are out of date. The fact that they don't cover a standard does not make them bad docs.

Posted by member 85680 on 2003-11-26 15:02:50 link

yea, that link is dead.

Posted by member 92831 on 2003-12-12 11:32:22 link

Hey I am brand spanking new to litestep and I am loving it. I can not wait until I get more experianced with it so I can be more productive here and give something back. Anyway thanks for all your hard work in making the tutorials and everything. It is much appreciated.
