My LiteStep are crushed!!!
After Windows start-up it say:
1. - Variable "ThemeDir" not defined.
Expression: $ThemeDir$config\_compatibility_patch... -
2. - Variable "ThemeDir" not defined.
Expression: $ThemeDir$Theme... -
and then "right click" dont work!!!
How can I remove Litestep drom my PC???
Help me please...
since $themedir$ is a litestep system variable (unless if I'm mistaken), then it sounds like you're trying to run an OTS2 theme on a non-OTS2 distro of Litestep. try getting the latest version of omar's installer (3.0.2). if that's not the case, then give us some more info (ls installer version, theme you're trying to run, OS version), and we'll try to help out more. however, if you just want to give up, then just hit ctrl+alt+del, bring up the task manager, and go to control panel-add remove programs and remove it.
Well ill borrow your thread because i got the same problem and ive got the latest omar install.. I run with XP hom edition and ive just installed the litestep but when i reboot it comes the themedir message and litestep doesnt work. So please help me because ive done the install on my laptop and it worked wonderful. The only difference is that on my laptop i got XP professional. I hope you guys can help me :P because litestep ROCKS!!
I've got the exact same problem. The funny thing is that I've been using LS on this computer for a long time, but then my hard drive crashed and it was replaced with another one, and now when I have installed LS and switch to LS-mode, I get these messages mentioned above and I am left without a shell. According to the task manager, litestep.exe is running, but all I've got is a wallpaper, which I can't interact with in anyway. Please help me!
Switch back to explorer...uninstall LS and reinstall omar's installer and try again. I could have sworn that is what deuce said to do almost 3 years ago.
