Okey, I'm running Litestep over Explorer for the popup menu ls offers. Basically my theme's only loading a desktop module (tried both jDesk-0.70 and dekstop2-2.0) and popup2-2.0. jKey-0.37 is also loaded from my personal.rc.

I have ex launching normally (as the shell, from the registry) and ls in the Startup folder in the Start Menu. (with the -nostartup switch)

Now the problem is.. if ls launches before any other programs that launch at startup, the programs' icons don't show up in the ex systray. The programs that launched before ls are there..

Sometimes if I quit and restart any of them they'll show up in the systray like they should. Sometimes they won't and then a few minutes later they will.

Everything seems to work just fine if I don't load any of the desktop modules. Any ideas? :/

you can't load a desktop module if you're running LS over explorer.

Why not? I don't see why the desktop modules should have anything to do with the tray..

Oh well.. ****ity *** :\

Any other way to get litestep's popup when I rightclick my desktop?

the reason that you shouldnt load a desktop module when running litestep over explorer is that explorer already has something does the same thing, and if you load litestep's, they will conflict. im not sure what that would have to do with the trayservice though...

and no, there really isnt a way to catch right clicks on the desktop with litestep over explorer.

the tray service is filtered through the desktop class I believe. its strange but if it weren't it wouldn't be M$
