LabelTrueTransparency doesn't work Thread last updated on 2004-01-08 16:47:55

I have some images that use magenta for transparency in some labels but LabelTrueTransparency has no effect. LabelTransparent works but I don't want the wallpaper to appear in this area.

I also tried xlabel (2.2.1) but it also had no effect and if I used LabelTrueTransparency and LabelTransparent at the same time the whole image would disappear and leave the pink still visable. Occasionally it would disappear all together.

Can anyone confirm if this is a bug with label (1.99) or am I forgetting something?

I'm running Win XP for reference.

It's broken in label. The original code is still there, but I commented it out in the source because it seems to need a rewrite after the changes i made in 1.96. In xlabel someone went ahead and enabled the code without any modifications, but I don't think it'll do. Haven't tested it though.

Thanks, ilmcuts. Can you recommend a label-type module that might work?

Well, the TrueTransparency will be rewritten and fixed in xlabel-2.5.5 (Release on 7.01.04) and additionally you get hover and pressed labelimages ;)

xlabel works in lsboxes.
you have to create a label, but son't set *label labelname
now you can hook label into the box with *ModuleHook !LabelLSBoxHook labelname
