It would be really cool to have a desktop that would allow me to set up only the programs that I want my little one to run and nothing else. By entering a password the parent could return to a normal shell environment to get work done without the system being all messed up or files deleted.
A good basic example would be the old AtEase program on Apple's old Macintosh computers.
its possible, i'm working on a module that prevents use of Ctrl-Alt-Del, alt-tab, and crtl-esc.
whoa.. nice :)
not that i have use for it atm, but still.. nice ;)
Agreed. That sounds potentially very useful.
Running the risk of being burnt in a litstep forum but you can get that sort of thing now with desktopX I used it for my kids ages ago only problem was you have to pay for it
I heard 'bout program that can disable every key on keyboard - KeyTweak -
http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/...
U can remap or disable every key...
Hope it helps...
alt-tab and ctrl-esc can already be override with *hotkey (at leats on my win2k box)
yes but ctrl-alt-del is a little more diffcult but not much, just changing a reg key and changing it back on when needed. i have been to busy to finish it yet, but i will "sometime soonish"™
