Has anyone seen a vwm capable of having a different background in each virtual desktop?

its possible with scripting... there was just a thread a few days ago on this, check this forum

Use RabidVWM 1.1.1 as the VWM, and use LSWallpaper. In your VWM.rc file, add...

VWMOnSwitchTo !wallpaper paper^@dc^.bmp


then put the different wallpapers into your $LSImageFolder$ and name them paper1.bmp, paper2.bmp, paper3.bmp, etc.

No scripting needed :)
