I've been running Litestep on my desktop for several months now and have found it so useful that I decided to use it on my laptop as well. That's where I ran into trouble. I used the latest installer from omar, so I have build 0.24.7 RC 1 installed with the Austerity theme. As soon as I've logged into Windows, the following msg comes up:
RUNDLL:rundll32.exe - Application error
The instruction at "0x100076fc" referenced memory at "0x100076fc". The memory could not be "read".
If I switch back to Explorer, Windows starts normally.

Ah, think I figured it out. The laptop is an Thinkpad A20, and there was a battery meter starting from the Run section of the registry. I removed that and Litestep starts normally.

Is/Was it a third-party battery meter or something built into windows?

Third-party... it's standard with IBM ThinkPads...
