Heres an idea. Dunno if is possible. How about having the pop-up menu be circular. Ill try to make a little ascii pic.

Would that take any extra coding or just a good photoshop job. I think it would be really cool. The O is where you click and the [] are menu options. It would get cluttered under the programs tab so the initial menu with "litestep" "system" "quicklaunch" could use the circular method then it could switch to the regular bar menu for sub trees of the main options? Yes, No?

Just treat the periods as desktop space or like they arent their.

i tried to do it, couldnt do anything really usefull. i believe somebody else might have tried to make it.

if you want something simple like a quicklaunch, it's pretty easy to do, but there's no real gain over other ways to place the different things. maybe if it was a module...

what are modules written in. I just got through a basic java course at college and i believe next semesters recommended course is C++. I would love to start in on litestep once i learn C++. Also, know any REALLY good tutorials that explain step.rc and all the stuff it takes to put together a theme?
