permanent text-based shorcuts Thread last updated on 2003-12-14 13:07:35

what would be the best/easiest way to go about creating a text-based menu? I was using images for all of my important shortcuts, but then if I wanted to change one I had to open Fireworks and export, etc etc... It'd just be a lot easier if there was a way to keep, say, the popup.rc module open at all times... I know pinning is a possibility, but that doesn't seem to work too well. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah, BTW, I have it set up so that there is an area on the left of the screen where I want this menu to be, and I set the desktop not to invade this area. The idea is to have one-click access to all my important stuff without having to create images for all of the programs I wish to have access to.

@sryo: yes, RabidCow add this (and more) to the last popup release and it works like a charm.

ilmcuts way is the easiest. using the popup would be a waste of time (imo) since there is a much easier way to do it.

I guess nothing can easier than a popup !!!

what I decided to do was do the label thing for the programs I want to, then put a hotspot on part of the left side of the screen for any other programs. That way I can still access them easily, but they're out of the way until I want to. So, I did a bit of both... all of you can be happy :)

damn popup is the way to go. create a popup with ur choice entries. put that in a script start with pinned option and x/y coordinates. much quicker and faster.

nothing is easier than a popup !!!!
