I jsut installed litestep with the installer (used to use it and very famialiar with it). For some reason I only see two of my icons... please help.

if you have ever installed desktopx, you most likely still have a program running called trayserver.exe. go to the task manager and terminate that process, then use msconfig or some program like that to prevent it from loading on startup.

easiest way of preventing a file from loading on startup (or any time for that matter):

right-click on the file and choose Properties.
in the Properties sheet, click on Security.
For each user listed, click on Deny for read/execute.
Click ok, and until you remove that Denial restriction manually, that program/document will be as though it were frozen in carbonite.
