I am very unexperienced in lite step, but on the theme I'm working in, there is a built-in winampplayer, how do I connect that to winamp 3?

Only a couple modules work with winamp3. if you can't get it working, try installing winamp2.

I am sorry to hear that your run the bloated version of winamp. You really should just step down to winamp2 since there are no real improvements in playback with winamp3.
