well..
looks like i ran into something embarassing :)

i'm trying to uninstall litestep. yet, i do neither find an entry in my software-list, nor does the litestep.exe -uninstall work. i've been trying to replace the shell32.dll, but that won't work either.

sorry for being a noob, but somebody please help :(
i'm stuck with my wallpaper and nothing else... have to open taskmanager and run explorer.exe first to get anything done at all..

help asap :)

I ran into the same problem some time ago, but all I had to do was to reinstall Litestep into the same directory, and then run uninstall again.

However, I'm sure there are both easier and more complicated ways of taking care of this problem.

you could try going to http://brembs.net
There is a walkthrough on how to install alternative shells there, just replace "c:\litestep\litestep.exe" with "explorer.exe" in every step, and you should be fine.

I know there was a bug in the previous Indiestep build that prevent the CTRL+ALT+F1 -> Utilities -> Uninstall to work as expected. But it seems to be fix in the last release. Get it at http://indiestep.sourceforge.net/dl/ILS-2003-02-09.zip
