This is a great Forum, but it still could be a bit more userfriendly,
I've 'joined' a great forum elsewhere as well [non_litestep :}]
and they have some good options, like Edit Post, to change your post after submitting [to correct typos], it's a bit more structured, divided into catagories, instead of just posting it all into one big mess,
they allow avatars [not like I have one, but still], preview message before submitting, and some more options, but I won't go into detail.
Also, why not make a sort of 'chat area', instead of just having ing a question-answer relation, or is that just what this forum is all about?

I hope you take at least some of these suggestions into consideration...

I hope they will...

We are working on restructuring the Forum layout. Life has gotten a little bumpy for all of us so it may take a bit though.

If you want chat please join one of the irc channels on the FreeNode network. I am not in any of them so I can not suggest which one to go to however.

Alright, work in progress, sounds good to me!

I agree with Fox...
This would do great things to this forum.

I use a great Forums Program, written in PHP called InvisonBoard, http://www.invisionboard.com

You can see it at http://forums.trells.com to get a feel of it, I have not tried to intergrate it with an existing website but I'm sure you can make it a link, oh and it uses mysql, the entire setup took all of about
5 minutes :)

Just a thought.

i don't gather that the admins would use a pre-scripted forum since they have a home brewed one that is working great. i think this forum is great.

xclusive and Mulvane have explained why we only use home brewed software at this site. I wish them the best of luck in getting things fixed up, but I will not let LSnet fall down the same hole.
