Transparent IRC Client Thread last updated on 2003-02-19 06:32:45

Does anyone out there know of a transparent IRC client. I used CrankIRC for a little bit, but lost it after a re-install and now can't find it anywhere for download. It was pretty feature poor and difficult to handle multiple rooms. And I know Oirc is out, but I'm not much of a skinner. Something nice and easy like CrankIRC or in the console world how say.. eConsole works.

Thanks

Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc) also supports IRC as well as the various IM clients, and is transparent-capable as well as free-form skinnable.

Thanks guys.. had been using trillian.. wasn't happy with that.. and the transparency in mirc does it on the entire window.. as I was just looking for a transparent background.. Xchat seems to be the winner at this point. Will still be keeping an eye out for a completely transparent irc client tho.

transparent background? whats the point in that? :) if i understand you right though you want to use BitchX with eConsole.

any client will do, if you use Vendicators wndman.dll to set app-transparency ;) along with literunner you'll think it's a built in feature
