Search not available in Explorer in LS 3.0.2 Thread last updated on 2003-11-20 14:42:50

I downloaded, ran and configured LS using the Nonstep theme - very cool, BTW - but noted that I can't search a folder by right-clicking on it... when I choose "Search" from the pop-up menu in Explorer, the search dialog box fails to appear.

Anyone got any clues? Running the Explorer as the default shell fixed the problem, but doesn't solve the bad GUI problem associated with Win2K ;-)

Windows 2000 Pro SP4, LS 3.0.2 - doesn't matter which theme is running, Search doesn't work

We'd be glad to fix it... but as always this is completely undocumented by M$ (afaict). Unless someone has a flash of genius I doubt this will be fixed anytime soon. Your best bet at the moment is to use find.exe or find.dll.

ilmcuts, that's not a DDE issue? It works fine for me under win2K and purels using liteman.
