Has anyone done speed tests between Opera7 and IE/Netscape yet? I've noticed somewhat increased speed myself but still undecided.

Opera is 20-50% faster than IE on my box... Won't use anything but... ;)

Thanks, I've noticed about the same percentage speed increase. God bless change.

Opera7 is significantly faster than IE, or even Opera6.05, both in download speed AND operational speed. I love it, and would be using it right now if it wasn't for the memory leak issue and it not correctly supporting javascript.

Opera7 is the best out there for speed, but first you've got to get rid of the banner and load the java support pack... then all you need is a nice skin to go with your theme... :P

I'm almost quitting using IE, the increase in speed is incredible in Opera... but have to use it more to get the real feeling... Netscape seems like comparing winamp3 to winamp2...

real nice broswer, but what are you talking about "Banner" I have no ads and just got it from opera.com

I didnt notice this before but now I can 'drag' the windows and the page updates all 'stuff' positions...WOW!

Opera7 final has no banners for the first 15 days. Just give it time.
Opera for me is much faster in that it allows me to work faster. Just easy to surf with.

15 days ? ohh man . If I delete the reg keys and install it again will it still have banners ?

Yup, even if you delete reg keys it will have banners.
I say just register it if you like. It's so much better than IE or
Netscape. Easily worth the money IMHO.

Plus --- MOUSE GESTURES!

On a P3 600 (with ample ram and broadband), we're talking maybe a few seconds difference between Mozilla and Opera. Personally, I'm willing to sacrifice 2 seconds/page for a UI that doesn't slowly drive me insane.
