I downloaded the file from http://beyondconvention.net/ohussain/lsinstaller/
What comes with it? Obviously it is litestep. Is it OTS or OTS2? Is OTS2 backwards compatible with OTS1?

it's the installer, it includes litestep, a default theme and some utilities (toupdate ls build, install themes and switch shells). The installer for ots2, though it inlcudes compatibility with ots themes (until the transition period finishes). OTS2 is not backwards compatible, you can find information about it at http://o-t-s.sf.net

so what i downloaded doesnt have ots support? only ots2?

bleh, people still confuse the standard with litestep, and with the installer.
