Is there any way to use the desktop background as the popup background for Popup2 similar to PopupUseDeskImage which is available in re5ource's popup module, re5oures's popup module stll works but it does not support some more recent bangs like !PopupControlPanel or !PopupMyComputer. grdTransparent does not provide the same effect and it creates legibility problems if part of the popup is over an app window.

u want a completely transparent popup? if you do, then why not use a completely 'magic pink' image for background?

Magic pink does not provide the same effect. It is more like grdTransparent. so if you have white text on the popup and part of it is on an app window the text will be difficult to read. DeskImage will paint the wallpaper as the background of the popup even if part of the popup is on an app window.

you could try lstransparent... i dont know if that still works or if it does what you want or anything like that, but it is another option

lstransparent is similar to grdtransparent. In any event it wont run on Win 2k.

Actually lstransparent should work on all windows versions starting with Win95. But it's quite slow compared to grdtransparent, which only works on Win2k and up.

Sorry ilmcuts I had that backwards. In any event effect of lstransparent is same as grdtransparent.
