VWMHideTaskOnSwitch Ignored? Thread last updated on 2003-11-10 03:45:57

For over a year I had been using an OTS1 compatible indie build from May of 2002 with no unusual problems. Recently I used a recent build of Omar's LSInstaller to upgrade my system to OTS2. Now I find that all themes -- OTS1 and 2 -- that use vwm modules which recognize "VWMHideTaskOnSwitch" ignore this value. In other words, the tasks don't hide when I switch desktops. I never had a problem with this before I upgraded to OTS2. Is this a problem with 24.7bx, or with Omar's installer, or with OTS2? Is there a workaround or fix? Is anyone else noticing this? I'm running WinME. Thanks for your help!

Omar's installer might set it to false in your personal.rc, which overrides any themes. This is where you want to set it anyway.

Hopefully that's the problem, cuz otherwise this makes no sense :)

That's it, thanks RabidCow. Is there somewhere where I can get a good grounding in OTS2? There are so many changes, it seems there's always one more thing that I "should have known but didn't".
