new to litestep and dont have clue how to use themes ive dl the theme installed but ive downloaded themes but dont know how to install them PLEASE HELP

Make sure you have the right distro. If you're using the newest installer from this site, you're good for OTS and OTS2 themes.
1. download.
2. extract (with folder names if you're using winzip!) to themes under Litestep's directory.
3. right-click on the desktop for the start menu styled popup. Litestep->change themes->refresh list.
4. It will appear to close and start back up, and the new theme should show up in that list under change themes.

ok got it working but the wallpapers wont load and i get errors about variables etc is there a patch?

Try another Theme. The default theme should always work.
From there you can try different themes. Some just don't work as well as others :)
Just try 3 or 4. By then you should have one that works..

and, the wallpapers probably won't load. most themes don't actually includea wallpaper (at least, most themes I've downloaded).

yeah, it's an IE error (or, I think, the image is pretty blurry). what version of ie are you running?
