I've been having this ongoing struggle with vtray.. Basically the problem is it doesn't refresh icons (ie, zonealarm's net meters don't update, icq doesn't blink, etc).

I've narrowed it down to grdTransparent. When the transparency is applied, no updates. When it's commented-out, updates-aplenty.

Can anyone recommend a solution to the problem?

Put the tray in a box, maybe? grdTransparent doesn't like to work with a few modules, and grdMagick seems to not like .24.7
I sure hope the solution I suggested now works, because if it doesn't, I'll have one hell of a time trying to get the tray working in the theme I just started.

'fraid that won't work, vtray flickers like a firefly when hooked into a box.. Works ok if you *WharfModule it but then you can't use [Tray]AutoSize

hhhmmmm...well, graphics are near done, and I just have to ask (and hopefully get an answer) about a popup issue I'm having, and tomorrow or wednesday I'll have to see if a way around this can be scripted.

try lsdynamic; it allow me to put everything I want (including modules) transparent.
