I've hooked VTray into my lsBox with *ModuleHook !SystrayHook (using VTraySettingsCompatability) and it hooks ok visually (background image appears and tray icons appear), but

A) the icons don't update at all (IM's don't flash, network icons don't flash, zonealarm doesn't update it's in/out meters) and

B) the mouse-clicks don't seem to be registered at all by VTray. (clicking on a tray icon does nothing, right-clicking brings up the !Popup, which is what's triggered to happen when you right-click on non-module area of the LsBox..)

Using VTray-1.40, LsBox-2.95 and litestep.7

Anyone know why this would happen and how to correct it?

nope. try latest version of vtray. are you on win9x? if not, try lsbox3.0pre

btw, tnl, do u know whether blkhawk is going to release an official 3.x someday (with some bug-fixes etc)?

Tried using LsBox-3.0pre, same results.

Tried using an older version of vtray just to see what happened, and the icons do update but the tray's background image flickers constantly.

Tried using systray2-lsbox by vendicator - the tray icons display perfectly and update with no flickering of the bg, but areas set to FF00FF show as black instead of transparent :(

You do not need a special version of systray2 like "-lsbox" or "kad". All those changes were merged into the main "systray2".

If you find issues such as this one with vtray *please* report them to the *module author*. I highly doubt that each and every module developer read each and every post on each and every forum. If you find a bug and don't report it it'll never be fixed.

Ilm: Generally before pestering module authors I like to put out some feelers in the community to see if other people have encountered the problem and found it to be a PEBCAK situation.. If no one knows what's up then I'll send the heads-up to the author ;)
