jpg is a lossy format. no one wants that.

module, no. but app, sure. photoshop, paint I believe, and I'm sure there are many more.

no, needs to be a module. i have a jpg downloading from the net every 30 mins, and it needs to be either displayed as a jpg or converted by a module after download.

Ok, it's not a module, but it can be used in a script without user intervention.
