Or maby my theme is screwed up, but I would like full functionality with desktop icons. I.E. I have found I can not select multiple icons (either dragging box or ctrl + clicking). Its a small thing, but if its because this is not built in, then it should be finished.

it may be that the module your theme uses for the desktop icons doesn't support what you're trying to do, or isn't currently configured to do it. I would suggest looking through the modules readme, see if it says anything in there about it. also, if you let us know which module it is, we may actually be able to help, instead of just taking a stab in the dark, like what I'm doing. ;)

Yeah, Im using austerity. I figured whatever module being used didn't allow you to do all the things you can normaly do with the explorer shell. My biggest gripe with the whole thing is that hitting delete on a selected icon dosn't delete it, but with that particular problem, I'm sure I can fix it in the config files.

it can delete it...it just depends on the desktop update interval as to how long it takes for the icon to disappear.
