Well I know that 90% of you don't know what I'm talking about ;-)

Just to recall:
LSTM2 is "Litestep Theme Maker v2" (Look in the "Downloads"-"Litestep Utilities" section btw. ;-))

The upcoming version is v2.1, which is OTS2 and 0.24.7 compatible, means some
features (LSCP, LSTS, ...) has been removed others has been added.

Not much new, but one great NEW feature has been added:
The NETLOADMODULE support!
"All" modules from shellfront.org are now listed with the correct syntax
and can be added into theme.rc with one click (*netinstallmodule and *netloadmodule).
Furthermore you can download and install all via netloadmodule while themeing
(Just doubleclick right!)

Just wanted to announce it, maybe some comments ?

Need to look into this. I may not know crap about this program and making themes, but I can get an idea how it works and maybe build me a weak Litestep theme. Wish me luck here.

Looking forward to checking this out.

Just make sure you really do have the correct syntax for everything, including load options where required.

Sorry to doubt you, but it would really suck if you didn't have that perfect. :)

No problem RabidCow ;)

here is what I've taken from a new OTS2 theme
*NetLoadModule jdesk-0.70

and these 2 lines are made with the new Beta version of LSTM2 (no fake, just doubleclicked, and copied)
*NetInstallModule jdesk-0.70
*NetLoadModule jdesk-0.70

So, it should be right :D
Andymon spent a lot of time reading the OTS2 docs to create it absolutly right :)

Well, andymon has also insert a fantastic new feature for themers, an ots2check ;)

itchecks if the theme has the right loadmodule names and other problems *g* it will be listet in new box (NotOnTop)
it checks:
- Personal.rc
- Loadmodule
- NetLoadModule
- NetInstallModule
- Bangs (NetRe/Unload...)
- OTS predefined vars from the personal, that they're not double includet
- hotkey (not double loaded)
- it also shows you in which files it scanes for errors :D, and if it has found, in which file it was :)

I hope we'll release very soon that you all can try it out :D

what about modules loaded in lsbox with *WharfModule (*WharfModule 0 0 0 0 "$ModulesDir$systray2-2.0.dll"), will it add the *NetInstallModule in the theme.rc (*NetInstallModule systray2-2.0)?

Posted by member 32550 on 2003-10-23 12:35:57 link

you have to do the moduleloads on your own, the lstm will only check if it works!!!

but adding a moduleline (net) is such easy, just open your file in which you want to load, search for the module in the bar and doubleclick, than the line will appear in the file.
It doesn't matter in which file you want to load.

Andymon will also add the check for the box files, it iill be a hard work, but he'll add it.
Today he told me that we're looking forward to release on saturday!!!!

Ok, how about something like rainmeter-0.9?

Should be:
*NetLoadModule rainmeter-0.9 load rainmeter.dll
; or
*NetInstallModule rainmeter-0.9 load rainmeter.dll

RabidCow ..... Works :D I just tried ;)

Taken from lstm2:
*NetInstallModule rainmeter-0.9 load rainmeter.dll
*NetLoadModule rainmeter-0.9 load rainmeter.dll

LSTM2 is looking really impressive, a lot of work has gone into it and I hope more people learn about it. :D

Hopefully litestep.net, lsthemes.com, shellfront.org and loose-screws etc. will post news of the next release. (Make sure to contact the sites with a little blurb when you release, I don't know if you've done that in the past and got ignored, but do try. ;)

Keep up the good work, and don't lose heart. :P
