When all the config was done in a single file.

It was so much easier and more user friendly, not sure why it was changed this way.

Just installed LS and a couple of themes and its all working fine. Still prefered the old way. :)

If I use 0.27.4 am I right in thinking I should try and use OST2 themes??

Cheers

ots1 themes will work too, it doesnt depend on the ls version, but on the lsinstaller version.

You can still do an LS config with a single file...its just easier to use 2.

it's all personal preference... :)

If I was to create my own theme, I'd like to stick to the standard format. If ppl are using 3,4,5 rc files then thats when I will do. No point in changing something that works. ;)

Thanks anyway. Now to RTFM!! :(

I'd like to have everything stored in a single file... but, if you need to have a "themevars.rc", a "usersettings.mz", one file per taskbar modules... hum, you'll quickly have about ten files in $configdir$

I used good old .24.5 on NT4 before OTS.
Single files? NEVER, EVER again. Small main rc w/ several files in the config folder...marvelous.
Also, if you use a nice text editor like Notetab Light, it's no biggie, because you can edit all the theme config files at once.

If you use a good editor with block folding it's not difficult to manage everything in one file. :)

VIM :)

Never even knew VIM existed...nice! If I could do a halfway decent evil laugh, I would.

VIM is horribly unusable in my opinion... but this reminds me of something that should have been discussed long ago.
