Several themes i have downloaded have failed to download the files requireed to work (Normally popup2, shortcut2 and hotkey), normally meaning if i try and run the theme without them that my computer stops working and i have to reset to explorer by editing my system.ini in dos.

From reading posts here i have discovered to find popup2 i have to change the theme.rc to popup2-2.0 ... but what do i change the otheres to.... is there a list anyway or a location that i can set litestep up to download the files the themer wanted?

just add "-2.0" to the names of all of the ex-core modules, except sysvwm, which should be sysvwm-7.0
so hotkey should be hotkey-2.0, shortcut2 should be shortcut2-2.0, and popup2 should be popup2-2.0

Hotkey's module should not be load by themes since OTS2 specify that it have to be load in personal.rc

I think this shouldn't be a problem to have the same *netloadmodule line in both personal.rc and theme.rc, but if you load jkey.dll in your personal.rc and hotkey.dll in your theme.rc, there could be conflics (not tested)

lengths: you should contact any theme that has an error, and ask the theme author to fix it. otherwise there will be no end to buggy themes, and the same questions about the same 'problems' will be asked in the forums over and over again.

all theme authors should read and understand the theme creation guide, and they should check their theme against the checklist before releasing.
