I am just curious as to how the majority of people like to have their system tray icons displayed. Doing some work on a theme and am just looking to see what people want. Please, let me know!

I prefer to have it always showing. for one reason, to bring up waiting IM messages, or the IM program itself. for another, at work, we use voice-over-ip, and the software shows in the system tray. I have a hotkey set up for it, but I sometimes need to do it manually (usually when I forget about the hotkey :P ).

shortcut activated because if i interpret that right then only the things i use the most (usually a shortcut) then only those will be visible. No need for the others.

MarkB: By "shortcut activated" I mean, you click on a litestep shortcut and it will hide/show the system tray. Toggle it visible and invisible per say.

The ability for all three. I usually don't want it there, as I run 800x600--every pixel I can get I need--but I also like easy access, so have a clcikable toggle and hotkey toggle.
