I am looking for a LS news modules that will get info from sites and place them on the desktop in a transparent background.
lsnews.dll is not working for me
I think lsnews.mindjunction is dead
If anyone knows of a module that will do this plaese let me know.

lsdrinks works too, a bit more complicated though.

lsdrinks is more for geek type news and not world news
also it creates a htm file through the popup to view in your
browser and not on the desktop as im looking for.
a simple shortcut to worldnews.com in your popup will do the same
as lsdrinks in my opinion.

ty for your direction

Does anyone if Mindjunction is dead
and will lsnews.dll work anymore

If I had a link to a website that had txt files of current news
I could point lsnews to that page and I could accomplish what I want.

is there a module that can read RDF news feeds? if so, that would be really cool. (i know samurize can do this, so why can't ls?)

That would definitely be cool, maybe could be written as a script (like getweather.vbs).

i think this can already be done with textedit2 and label.
