Start position of wharf Thread last updated on 2005-07-31 15:35:57

I'm trying to add a wharf to theme I've been working on, and I've got most of the wharf stuff down, except for a starting possition of it. I've looked in the lsdocs, and downloaded a few modules, but they didn't have readme's with the commands. Any suggestions?

There were little updates to the wharf in the last indiestep but it's only related in the "changes.txt". I don't remember if there's some positioning settings but I guess wharf.dll is the last module that still store settings (including position) in "modules.ini".
Otherwise, use wharfx or dwarf

Yeah, I tried setting up a wharf last night, and came to work with this question. All the threads that came up when I did a search on wharf all said in one way or another to try using wharfx or dwarf. I'll give them a shot. Thanks a mil.

Sweet, got home and tried wharfx. Any size, start position, etc. Awesome. I'm not sure why people don't use it, it's pretty bitchen to me!

I had problems with it two years ago. Maybe, these has disapear with fresh ls builds.

If there was a wharf module with right-click support, I will use it...

I tried working dwarf 1.12 a while ago and it gave me an error message even though the path was correct. Bad build?

possibly. those modules (the various wharf's) haven't been in development for a while. try using xlabel instead, it should be able to do anything dwarf could do, and a lot more.

the wharf was updated about a year ago, so except for the xmodules, it's more up-to-date than many other popular modules and should work just fine.
