Taskbar3 Border Problem Thread last updated on 2003-09-29 07:31:05

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it... I can set a background or a color or Both but it keeps this 3D border around the taskbar box. Anyone know what I need to do to get rid of this? I've looked in the docs and havn't been able to find anyone, am I not looking hard enough?

I believe one of the variables is border color, maybe you should check out the readme and set it to a color you want.

There isn't anything in the Tasbar3 documentation about a border color.

set TaskbarBorder and TaskbarButtonBorder

I've got both of them set at 0. I tried -1 and that didn't do anything either. It only displays when there isn't anything In the taskbar.

All I can do is to post my last taskbar3 settings:
taskbariconsize 12
taskbarspacing 0
taskbarborder 7 4 2 2
taskbarbuttonborder 0
taskbarbuttonfontborder $taskbariconsize+6$ 2 0 0

taskbarskincenter taskbarcenter.png
taskbarskinleft taskbarleft.png
taskbarskinright taskbarright.png

taskbarnormalskincenter taskbarentrycenter.png
taskbarnormalskinleft taskbarentryleft.png
taskbarnormalskinright taskbarentryright.png

taskbaractiveskincenter taskbarselentrycenter.png
taskbaractiveskinleft taskbarentryleft.png
taskbaractiveskinright taskbarselentryright.png

taskbarflashingskincenter taskbarselentrycenter.png
taskbarflashingskinleft taskbarentryleft.png
taskbarflashingskinright taskbarselentryright.png

taskbarminimizedskincenter taskbarentrycenter.png
taskbarminimizedskinleft taskbarentryleft.png
taskbarminimizedskinright taskbarentryright.png

taskbarnormalfontcolor 8c8cae
taskbaractivefontcolor 000000
taskbarminimizedfontcolor 5b5b76

taskbarnormalfontface tahoma
taskbarnormalfontheight $taskbariconsize-1$
taskbarminimizedfontitalic

TaskbarUseFontShadow
taskbarflashingfontshadowcolor 808080
TaskbarActiveFontShadowColor 808080

taskbariconx 3
taskbaricony -2

NOTE: if no "skin" are defined for some state (normal, minimized, ... ) then, colors will be use; and I guess taskbarnormalfore "color" and taskbarnormalfore2 "color" is what you missed. If I'm right, I can tell you: "yes ! it's in the docs :)"

I'm using the newest beta of it.

Smurth.. It is in the docs.. *hides in a hole*

Although not explained as I had hoped it would be.

All of these needed to be defigned to make the border go away when there are no tasks in the bar:
TaskbarBack 303030
TaskbarFore 303030
TaskbarFore2 303030
TaskbarSkinCenter 303030
TaskbarSkinLeft 303030
TaskbarSkinRight 303030

the newest beta is very buggy and should not be used to replace the previous (0.306) version. you should mail jesus_mjjg about it.

Lord_Zelo:
Maybe it's not a "border"
Try setting this:
TaskbarNoSkinShift
TaskbarNoFontShift

Hope this helps
