Hotspots through Login screen? Thread last updated on 2003-09-25 04:09:52

I was playing around with hotspots and noticed they don't work through a WinXP login screen. For many things I'm sure this is usefull, however it would be neat if someone could work out a way to make specific hotspots work when the computer is locked and over the logon screen. I'm not quite tech savvy enough to know whether it's possible or not (anything is possible!), however would it be a problem since the logon screen works through a seperate executable from the shell (logonui.exe). It would be neat to be able to toggle winamp play/pause through the login screen, and I'm sure other poeple could come up with other nifty applications for this ;).

Thanks in advance!

Is it not the very point of locking your computer to disallow any use.
Simply said, if it would be possible to affect the computer from behind the login screen, badly made LS themes could severy hamper your security.
