Indie LiteStep messes with command prompt Thread last updated on 2003-09-04 16:12:08

I just installed LiteStep on a newly formatted Win XP box.

I downloaded LiteStep Advanced theme from DeviantArt. When I tried to load it it gave me a few errors and some of the bitmaps didn't load. I downloaded and copied over Indie LiteStep and tried it again. It only gave me one error about an uninitialized variable, but otherwise it worked.

However, it's messed up a few things. First, when I get the run box open and type in say "C:\" it opens my root in explorer, but then pops up an error saying it cant find the file. Also, if I try to search a folder, it says the exact same thing.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Indie LS doesn't have a builtin DDE server. If you really want to use Indie LS instead of the .7 betas you need to load liteman.dll. Should fix some of the errors.
