cannot recall the name of a shell-swapping program. last i have used it in previous millenium ;), about 1998-2000, when b24.5 ruled, and then i've lost it due to hdd failure. no backup remains.
later tried to find it over net (litestep.net, litestep.com, loose-screws.com), but without result.
i can only drop here a description and ask for identify. there is one:
- standalone executable /.exe/, not a .dll module --
- intended to init during system boot /not sure, but possibly called from autoexec.bat/ --
- cute 16-colors text mode splash-screen /ANSI-palette?/ --
- config via text file /unusual, huh? ;) / --
- functionality: one-level menu, [up/down] to select, [enter] to run highlighted shell, timeout to run default shell --
any idea? i know it looks like a joke, but i really need this app now. or, perhaps there is another program of similiar issue?
if anyone could help me, i'll be grateful to death.

well, thanx for expresso, doy.
i've just successfully extracted and verified all mentioned url-s ;) -- no one refers to *that one* i'm looking for, but LiteSpawn seems to be enough.
gonna try it now.

Ah yes...the classic config. It only works with 9x machines but it was great. Was called ShellSW actually...and I do have a local copy of it if you still have a 9x machine.
