Trillian disapears (LS 2.6 / WinXP) Thread last updated on 2003-09-01 23:34:32

I just downloaded and installed the new build (hence me being a new member). I got online, the only problem being NetZero wants to load it's ugly tool bar over the sexy new LS at the bottom of the screen.

That problem aside, when I try to open Trillian (the free version, because I'm a cheap bas-tard), it opens, but dissapears. The .exe is running (I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to close it), but I can't find it on any of my workspaces. Any help?

well...its obvious you are a new user because you called LS 2.6 when its actually .24.6 and omar's installer is 2.6.

As for your Trillian problem...it is appearing off your desktop. You should be able to find it if you increase your resolution and drag it back or use your Gather command to get it back on the first workspace.

Well, I had the 2 and the 6 right. Do I get partial credit?

But Trillian doesn't appear anywhere, not even in the task bar.

DeV: it's actually LS 0.24.7 beta 3 :P

coolhand: Try to run !vwmgather right after running trillian and post back here with the results. Or does it maybe minimize itself to the systray?

!vwmgather didn't do anything. and Egonz, Trillian won't show it's face anywhere, taskbar, systray, desktop, nothing. It's like it goes away to that place where all lost socks go, and loads there.

because Trillian runs fine on my XP Pro box it isn't an LS thing. I would suggest saving your userlist and uninstall/delete Trillian and reinstall.

hmm. adding the reinstall to tomorrow's to-do list.
