hey just wanna know if i can run a desktopX on one login and litestep on another login is that possible ? or will this fuck my system.
i know litestep can be installed in to only one login. but what about DesktopX i have no idea about that i was just looking at it today.

there is some weirdness going on with desktopx and systray. don't know exactly :(

try ShellOn ..... you'll get asked which shell you want to load on each startup, doesn't matter which loginname

I don't know how DesktopX installs so it's difficult to say. If DesktopX has an option to only install it for the current user then I would think the answer is "Yes" since it would be the same as having one user using LS and the other using Explorer.

I doubt you will get an definite answer since I find it hard to believe that many people have ever had a need to. So try and find out. If it doesn't work try what ls-universe suggested.

I am going to say no because of how DesktopX likes to take over the system tray. When it does this it breaks LS and it is never good.

I'm not sure how DesktopX starts its tray manager...if it's run as a service it could be tricky, but if its run from the registry you should be able to move it into the HKEY_Current_User branch, which would cause it to only be run for the current user (do this for the DesktopX user).
