I've used Lunarbase for the past few years and have had no problem with it. Recently upgraded to WinXP(Was on 98SE before) and thu used the latest Litestep installer, the Houssin one I believe and also installed the latest lunarbase theme, everything seems to work fine except when I first start my computer/recycle I get this error:
Random errors such as
Error: Exceptiong during bang command execution. Please contact Module writer.
Bang Parameters:
Along with some errors that just have some weird text and an "Ok" button to hit. I hit about 5 of these and I am good to go. Anyone know whats wrong?
I don't know what module is causing this but to find out for yourself, comment out each module one by one in the theme step.rc file and recycle after each time until the error doesn't appear. I assume the error occurs when you recycle as well.
The !bang name should have been included, but it was left out by accident. So it's a core bug. It'll be fixed in the next .7 beta.
So its a problem with litestep and not lunarbase theme or the installation process on my part? Cuz I was using the defauly, Simplicity theme and it worked fine.
The error itself is a bug in a module. Or maybe the theme used the module incorrectly. However the lack of the !bang name is a litestep core bug.
Hmm I am now getting an error when I start up that says:
Error: Could not locate module.
It does not list what module and I check my step.rc in my theme directory and made sure all the modules are located in proper directories and everything checks out. Any clue?
Ater clicking "OK" about 5-6 times to close the box litestep shuts down, however if I do not click OK litestep runs perfectly witht he annoying error box in the way.
I think I've had that before. The theme simply wasn't picking up the module even though it was there and the path was correct. So I replaced it with another copy. I don't remember which module.
So it was a module located in litestep/themes/lunar_base/modules?
Sorry, I experianced this not with the lunar base theme but another theme. Try commenting out modules one by one like I suggested above to determine which module it is.
I've commented out the modules individually and still recieve the error.
Does the theme use lsbox? If so there may be modules that are included with the code for the lsbox objects.
