On my W2K system I installed litestep.
I was enthralled till I started to get down to do some work and realized that none of my Japanese is displaying correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This really sucs cause on my Japanese (double byte) W2K system I was really looking forward to a new interface.

Well I guess Explorer wins again!!

There are at least 4 installed by the Japanese language support that include Japanese characters: MS Mincho, MS Gothic, and the proportional versions MS PMincho and MS PGothic.

If those don't work then most likely the modules are compiled for ANSI (rather than Unicode) and not using the right locale to display the characters. I would suggest checking out the native Japanese builds of stuff, but I know even those won't always work, depending on how they choose their locale and what your system settings are.

Explorer, of course, is all in Unicode.
