lsxcommand.dll causing slooooooow recycle Thread last updated on 2003-02-12 13:49:42

i found that my current theme i'm working on is taking upwards into 14 seconds to reycle which is totally ridiculous.

i tried to pinpoint the problem by commenting out modules and i found that if i comment out lsxcommand it takes only 2-3 seconds to recycle (still loading 17 other modules).

does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

lsxcommand version: 1.8.3
ls indie build: latest stable
other modules:

LoadModule $LiteStepDir$desktop2.dll
LoadModule $LiteStepDir$hotkey.dll
LoadModule $LiteStepDir$popup2.dll
LoadModule $LiteStepDir$shortcut2.dll
LoadModule $LitestepDir$systray2.dll

;LoadModule $ModuleDir$lsxcommand.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$mzscript.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$ckvwm.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$tasks.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$lsmail.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$geekamp.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$gandharva.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$jamptoo.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$recycler.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$lsslider.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$rainmeter.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$xprop.dll
LoadModule $ModuleDir$lslnkmenu.dll

Haven't got a clue, but have you tried the former version of lsxcommand? I've never had any problems with that...

try to delete lsxcommand's MRU in modules.ini

if what ilmcuts said works, you might want to set a limit to the number of MRUs that lsxcommand should "remember". (I'm sure there should be a setting for this)

whoah i hadn't even thought of that. i went into the modules.ini and there was an entry for lsxcommand that was like three pages long. BALEETED.

thanks!
