is it just me or has people been having problems putting fonts in the step.rc and seeing results?

i tried changing my font to "supermarket square caps" but whenever i refresh, it wont appear.

BUT if i refresh with the font window open in c:\windows\fonts\ it works! then the font turns back to default whenever i close it.

nope, never had that problem, it always works for me.

Did you properly install the font? For me merely opening $Fonts$ (without specifying a file manager) will treat it as a regular folder. And you don't want to just copy font files there. Access the Fonts folder through Control Panel, and then in the File menu there's an entry Install New Font.
