It seems to be sound related. I installed litestep on my Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop, and ever since I have installed, the Fn key and the volume up/down keys (you hold fn then press either the key with volume up or volume down on it in purple) don't work. This drives me INSANE when I am playing a game, as I can't adjust it's volume. How can I get these keys working again?

I think: the only way LS would do that is if you had a hotkey module loaded, just take it out of your step.rc file.

It will probibly look like this.

LoadModule "$LitestepDir$hotkey.dll"

you need to configure jKey to use those keys. This has been described over and over again and I refuse to do it again.

Alright then, another problem. Why does it seem that whenever I attempt to install a program, when it gets to the point of writing the icons to the start menu, it chokes and performs an illegal operation. It does this EVERYTIME WITHOUT FAIL.

It might be your Llama output. What programs are you trying to install, what os? i havent had any illegal operations on xp.

it is because it is attempting to use part of the Windows Explorer shell to make your start menu icons. You can either load LiteMan.dll which I believe fixes it or do as us LS old-timerz do and install software under explorer.
